Cost-share programmes for fencing and septic repair, stormwater plan review, pasture walks. The board meets on the fourth Tuesday.

The county's no-kill animal shelter since 2006, funded in part by the Paws and Claws bookstore in Howe.

Towns
Who represents this county
LaGrange County sends one member to the Indiana House and one to the Senate. Neither district stops at the county line.
- Tony Isa
Represents House District 51, which is all of LaGrange County and eight townships of Steuben. He took the seat for the 2025 session, after Denny Zent retired rather than seek reelection.

Represents Senate District 13: LaGrange, DeKalb, Steuben, Noble and part of Kosciusko. She lives in LaGrange.

Every bill, its text, its authors and how each chamber voted on it. The General Assembly meets from January to late April in odd years and January to mid March in even ones.

Fire departments
Seven volunteer fire departments serve this county: Howe, Johnson Township at Wolcottville, LaGrange, Mongo, Shipshewana, Stroh and Topeka. The Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association publishes their addresses.

Several organisations in this county have no web address this page could link.
The LaGrange County Historical Society keeps a museum at High and Lafayette in LaGrange and is run by about twenty volunteers. Its website does not currently respond and its only other presence is a Facebook group. It is the body in this county closest to what the Gazette does, and this page cannot link it.
Others the county's own resource directory names without an address: LaGrange Communities Youth Centers, AGAPE Missions, the LaGrange County Clothes and Food Basket, Crushed but Not Broken, Compassion Pregnancy Center, Habitat for Humanity, and Impact Institute.
