What the sheets letter
These sheets letter their streets, and the four volumes barely mention any. Every street name the atlases and the fire insurance sheets carry is gathered, place by place, with the sheet each one was read on, in the street names.

The railroads, in order
Five of these sheets are read in sequence in The perverse running of the railway too far to the north, which is where this county's railroads are told. The 1852 sheet has no line drawn on it, the 1874 and 1888 sheets have one, the 1896 sheet names three, and the 1897 mail map letters every station.

31 sheets is not the whole of either atlas. The 1874 item runs to eighty leaves and the 1893 one to a hundred and thirty-four, and most of them have never been looked at. These are the ones identified and read.
