Early voting for the November 3 general election begins Tuesday, October 6. The state's election calendar puts it at the office of the circuit court clerk, and at any satellite site the county election board sets up.
The notice that tells voters the dates, times and locations of early voting is the legal notice of election, form CAN-39, required by IC 3-10-2-2. The Indiana Election Division's 2026 Election Administrator's Manual, revised April 16, 2026, says under "Legal Notice of Election (CAN-9 & CAN-39)":
Additionally, the notice must include the date and times the polls are open on Election Day, and the dates, times, and locations of in-person absentee voting will occur at the clerk's office and additional satellite locations. (IC 3-10-2-2) The CAN-39 must be published in a newspaper in the county not later than twenty-one (21) days before the election.
The Division's September 2026 Dispatch gives the date:
A reminder: the CAN-39 must be published at least 21-days before the election, or October 13, 2026.
So state law sets October 13 as the latest date for that notice, one week after early voting begins on October 6. A county may publish it sooner.
The manual says the county election board gives the notice through the county clerk, and the county's own page says the clerk serves by statute as secretary to the county election board. A voter who wants to vote early on October 6 and cannot find where should call the LaGrange County Clerk's office at (260) 499-6372, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is in the County Courthouse, 105 N Detroit St, LaGrange.
What the document does not contain
Neither document says when LaGrange County will publish its notice, in which newspaper, or what early voting hours or satellite sites it will give. October 13 is the latest date the law allows, not the date the county will publish. The manual's section on this notice names only a newspaper, and says nothing of a county website.
